An alarming number of children that are mentally and physically abused turn to substance abuse as a way to numb their pain. A cheap easily attainable method is solvent or glue sniffing and has become a major problem in both rural and city communities throughout New Zealand.
To help raise money for Barnardos to stop child abuse we created a print campaign targeting an affluent market, reaching them through top fashion magazine titles.
The creative emulated perfume ads, prompting readers to experience the ‘feeling’ - revealing a strong solvent smell and delivering the poignant message.
